Super League stars confirmed for residential camp

Young players booking on to Newcastle Thunder’s performance residential camp will learn from the best in the business with Super League stars set to join attend.

Leeds Rhinos fullback Jack Walker and Hull KR half-back Danny McGuire will attend a day each of the club’s first ever camp of this sort, which runs from August 19-23 at Barnard Castle School.

England and Great Britain Star McGuire and rising star Walker will attend a day of the camp each adding further quality to the exciting experience those booked onto the camp can expect to enjoy.

With a total of only 40 places available on the exclusive five-day training camp, which focuses on the Thunder SPARC principles: skill, physical, awareness, resilience & character, the attendance of the Super League stars is sure to see bookings flood in.

The 5-day camp is priced at £305 per person and is open to boys aged U13-U16 years old (school years 8,9,10,11 in June 19)

Included in the price are four meals per day, accommodation, enrichment activity on an evening, coaching and an item of Newcastle Thunder branded training wear.

Each day includes over five hours of top quality coaching, including a variety of workshops throughout the week: positional skills, game sense, nutrition, strength and conditioning and performance analysis.

Coaching will be delivered by the Newcastle Thunder Academy & Community coaching staff, as well as guest coaching from Newcastle Thunder first team players and coaching staff.

Other members of the backroom team will be on hand to give the aspiring young players hints and tips on the reality of elite sporting environments.
