In the most surprising result of the 2019 season so far saw underdog that was the Warriors overturn Jarrow Vikings. Both teams battled it out for the win throughout the game as both sides demonstrated fantastic attacking skills. Heading into half time with 20 points it was going to take a select few players to stand up and make a difference. Man of match, David Chester put in an inspiring performance as he ran in three tries for the Warriors with Max Filby also grabbing a brace. Jarrow showed their wealth of experience at times throughout the match with full-back Paul Evans crossing the whitewash three times, but it proved not to be enough and left them licking their wounds before heading into next week’s round of fixtures.

Catterick Crusaders 12 – 32 Edinburgh Eagles

Edinburgh Eagles put in a valiant performance which sees them soar to the top of the table. The crusaders showed determination throughout the match with Olly Bale leading the way from hooker until a subsequent head injury removed him from the game. Edinburgh Eagles gained the lead after an initial tense first 13 minutes before Craig Quigley broke the deadlock with his second try in as many games. But it was Lewis Clarke who helped the Eagles guarantee the win as he went over to score twice and nudge over three conversions, totalling up 14 points alone.
