Jarrow Vikings 30 – 16 Wallsend Eagles The Vikings welcomed the visit of the current North East champions in their first encounter following the 2018 Grand Final encounter which saw Wallsend take the spoils in last kick of the game. On Saturday, the Vikings remained in control of the match for a large part of the game with Jason Payne pulling the strongs at half-back. The Eagles finally managed to score their first points bang on the 70th minute mark. A flurry of three tries may have greater impact earlier in the game but it in the end it was the Vikings who took the win. This now places the Vikings on equal points with Edinburgh Eagles and Cramlington Rockets at the top of the table. West View Warriors 32 – 30 Durham Demons Head coach Antony Lawrence will be pleased as his side extended their winning streak to a run of four games as they took it right to the wire against the Demons. The Warriors only two points from the top spot will be looking to enter the title race as they make the journey to the Crusaders next Saturday. The Demons will have their well needed bye week whereby they can regroup as they continue their search for their second win of the season.
