North East Mens Rugby League Round Up

Durham Demons 68 – 20 Durham Tigers

Head coaches Karl Stephenson & Ben Hoggart will be pleased as the Demons finally get their first win of the 2019 season in spectacular fashion as they dominate the Tigers in the Durham Derby. This win for the Demons will look to provide them with the confidence boost before they travel to Hartlepool to take on the Warriors.

Catterick Crusaders 18 – 42 Jarrow Vikings

The Vikings showed their skill from all around the park as seven different players managed to cross the whitewash for them to take the win (Richard “Flash” Carr, Gary Bates, Paul Evans, Ben Halliwell, Luke Moffett, Ian Hetherington, Phillip Wall). Vikings will now look to back their sides ability once again when they host Wallsend Eagles this Saturday, a side who have not had their strongest start to the 2019 season.

Wallsend Eagles 12 – 40 Cramlington Rockets

A game that many neutrals would have expected to be a closer result, but it was the Rockets whose youthful side took the full two points. The Rockets remain undefeated within the 2019 season and will look to retake the top spot after they host Peterlee Pumas next week.

Peterlee Pumas 0 – 128 Edinburgh Eagles

A dominant performance is displayed against by the Eagles against a woeful Peterlee side. This win sends the Eagles to the top of the table on points difference.
