SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT – 19-man roster for Workington

Matty Wright is in line to make his Newcastle Thunder debut in this weekend’s Betfred League 1 match against Workington Town (KO 3pm), with the Samoan international included in the 19-man for Sunday’s games.

Arriving on Tyneside last week, Wright has been settling himself into his new club and comes into contention having completed all this week’s training sessions ahead of the big game.

Mikey Lewis will again be in line to feature for the club, with Hull KR permitting the young tyro to feature on Tyneside again, while absent from the line- up is fullback Lewis Young, who is still suffering the aftereffects of the awkward tackle that forced him from the field of play during last Saturday’s 18-19 win over Doncaster.

Looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to four matches, a win for Thunder would allow them to maintain the pressure on the teams ahead of them in the table, with just two points covering the top four sides.

Advanced tickets for Sunday’s game are available to book now, with savings of up to £3 per ticket offered on full match day pricing up until midnight on Saturday 29th June.
