NEWCASTLE THUNDER V LONDON BRONCOS - MATCH POSTPONED

Newcastle Thunder's Betfred Championship fixture with London Broncos, which was scheduled for Sunday August 22, has been postponed at the club's request under the sport’s Covid-19 fixture protocols.

Thunder meet the threshold for postponement of at least seven senior players ruled out either as a result of positive Covid-19 tests or as close contacts who are not fully vaccinated.

The two clubs will now liaise with the RFL in an attempt to find a date to rearrange the fixture, although part-time teams cannot be required to play in midweek.

The Betfred Championship table will be determined on win points percentage.

Tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for any re-arranged date or can be transferred to one of Thunder's remaining 2021 home games.

These fixtures are against York City Knights on Friday Sept 3rd and Toulouse Olympique on Saturday Sept 18th.
