GETTING TO: Newcastle Thunder (Blaydon Rugby Football Club)

MATCH-DAY TRAVEL

Entry to the ground can be made through the main entrance and follow directions from Thunder stewards.

Parking for 2025 league & cup fixtures is FREE for all supporters. It will be available on a first come-first served basis.

For public transport there are a number of options

By bus

49 - between Gateshead Interchange and the Stadium

x45 - between Newcastle Central station/Metrocentre and the Stadium

49/69 - between Blaydon Station and the stadium

These services operate regularly and drop off outside the ground. Newcastle Central station/Gateshead Interchange provide transport links via bus, rail and Metro to all local destinations as well as Newcastle Airport and to mainline train stations.

By Metro

Metros to Newcastle Central and Gateshead Interchange. Travel from these metro stations to the ground via the bus services above.
 
By rail

The nearest train station is Blaydon, this is a 30 minute walk from the ground or a short bus ride. Newcastle Central Station (East Coast Line) is the nearest mainline station. Travel from Newcastle Central Station to the ground via the bus services above.

It is easily accessible from the A1,

From the North & West turn off at junction 73 at the 1st roundabout follow signs to Consett A694. At the 2nd roundabout follow signs to Swalwell B6317, the ground is on your right hand side.

From the South turm off at junction 72 at the roundabout go straight across (3rd exit) head through 2 sets of traffic lights and the ground is on your left.
