INTRODUCING NEWCASTLE THUNDER'S EDUCATION ACADEMY

?Newcastle Thunder Education Academy is the course to consider by school leavers who want a career in the sport or rugby industry

In partnership with Tyne Met College, this course will allow you to complete an NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport while training and learning in a professional rugby environment.

With coaching by expert coaches from Newcastle Thunder, the course allows students to experience media training, post-match analysis, strength and condition sessions as well as gain access to a full-time physio to support your recovery sessions.

Topics on the course include:

• Sports Coaching
• Fitness Testing
• Anatomy and physiology
• Nutrition
• Sports Psychology.

Students will also have the opportunity to experience life in a high-performance environment as well as gaining fitness and coaching qualification alongside your main course.

To enrol, students will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths OR Merit in a Sport qualification at Level 2 along with C/4 at GCSE in English and Maths.
