THUNDER NAME 21-MAN SQUAD FOR MAGIC FRIDAY

Newcastle Thunder welcome back a trio of returnees to their 21-man squad for Magic Friday as the club announce their extended squad for the visit of Bradford Bulls (KO 7:45pm)

Home stable players Jake Shorrocks and Jay Chapelhow come into the lineup as they return to being eligible for selection, whilst Umyla Hanley comes back in on dual-reg terms from Wigan.

Shorrocks returns after serving a five-match suspension following the reverse fixture against the Bulls back in May, whilst Chapelhow comes back in having successfully recovered from the ankle injury sustained back in the Betfred Challenge Cup clash with York City Knights.

After scoring two tries in his last two appearances, Hanley is back available to Thunder for their biggest game of the season along with Wigan Warriors teammate Sam Halsall.

With Matty Peet’s side in action at St James’ Park on day one of the Magic Weekend and tickets to all Magic Weekend ticket holders just £5, it is hoped any Warriors fans up for the weekend will make the trip and support their pair of starlets in Thunder action

Making way for the returnees, Alex Donaghy and Dan Coates drop out of the 21-man roster.

With 1,750 tickets already issued and groups still to come from community clubs and supporters of players competing in the Champions Schools finals taking place throughout the day, Friday’s game will be played in front of the biggest Thunder crowd for over four years.

Supporting Northern Pride at the game and welcoming a host of fans from across the Super League fan base, it is set to be the best instalment of Magic Friday yet, with a host of additional entertainment already announced.

Tickets for Friday’s game are on sale now and can be booked by calling 0191 214 5588 (opt 1) online by clicking here or by visiting the Kingston Park Stadium box office.

Advanced ticket prices are available until 5pm on the evening, after which full pricing of £20 adults, £15 concessions, £10 16-24s and £5 U16s will be in effect.

Magic Weekend ticket holders can gain entry for £5 right up to kick off on production of the St James’ Park ticket at the stadium turnstiles.

Kingston Park Stadium is a cashless venue and all purchases on the evening, including tickets and refreshments, require card or contactless payment.
