MATCH DAY GUIDE – THUNDER VS. LEIGH CENTURIONS

All you need to know ahead of our Betfred Championship clash with league leaders Leigh Centurions.

With a bumper crowd expected, having sold over 1500 tickets already – we have an action-packed schedule for all to enjoy.

With a host of additional activities taking place, this is our handy guide to making sure you make the most of your day.

13:30 – Turnstiles / supporter facilities open

14:30 – Team warmups

15:00 – KICK OFF

15:40* – HALF TIME

15:50* – KICK OFF, SECOND HALF

16:30* – FULL TIME

TEAM – Thunder have named a 21-man squad ahead of Sunday’s game showing just two changes from the roster announced for last week’s fixture against London Broncos. Find out who is in and out HERE.

PROGRAMME – Thunder’s FREE digital matchday magazine is available to read HERE. You can also view your copy by scanning the QR codes in place around the stadium on Sunday afternoon.

MATCH TICKETS – Tickets for Sunday’s game are available to book now either in person at the Kingston Park Stadium box office, online by clicking HERE or by calling 0191 214 5588 (opt 1).

Tickets for Sunday are on sale now and are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions, £8 for 16-24-year-olds and £3 for Under 16s.

MATCH DAY TICKET PURCHASES – Tickets will be available to purchase on arrival at the stadium on Sunday at the north west corner

Full match day pricing will be in effect with adults priced at £20, concessions £15, YAS (16-24-year-olds) £10 and Under 16s £5

PLEASE NOTE Card payments only for ticket purchases made at the ground.

MOODY CUP FESTIVAL - Clubs from across the North East, Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire will participate in games over the morning, with entries received from Under 7s to Under 16s age groups. With more teams than 2021 registered from 14 clubs, it is set to be a bumper day of games for young players from across the country.

PRE-MATCH ENTERTAINMENT – For Sunday’s fixture we are joined by our grassroots festival sponsor Moody Logistics who bring with them “Peggy” the company’s vintage 1950 Bedford truck and their brand new 18-tonne Iveco truck Geordie Thunder.

Families and player taking part in the Moody Cup can also enjoy our outdoor refreshment plaza.

In our fan-zone we will have Thunder’s famous in-house barbecue among the offerings available on the day as well, offering tasty, freshly cooked favourites and after joining us for our  Magic Friday clash with Bradford Bulls, Newcastle DJ STEJAY will return to provide the soundtrack to the day. His set begins alongside turnstiles opening at 13:30.

MERCHANDISE – Look the part and head to our retail units this Sunday to secure your Thunder merchandise. We have a special 20% discount, so be sure to get your hands on some Thunder stash.

STADIUM ACCESS - Entry to the stadium will be via the entrances at the West Stand's north end. The ground will open to spectators from 13:30 however the fan zone will be open from 10am as part of the Moody Cup festival.

GETTING HERE - Stadium car parking for Sunday’s match will be available on the day free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis.

Kingston Park Stadium is well served by local public transport services. Stagecoach’s X47 service from Newcastle city centre stops opposite the ground on Windsor Way and Tyne & Wear Metro services on the airport line calling at Kingston Park and Bank Foot (approx. 7mins walk away).

Tyne and Wear Metro also have some cost-saving incentives available to supporters using their services, including their ‘Save As You Go with Pay As You Go’ campaign.

Purchasing a Pop Pay As You Go Card, when compared to buying paper Metro day tickets, saves you 65p on single tickets and 85p on day tickets.

TAP & TACKLE – We are delighted to confirm the Tap & Tackle is now back open as a public bar and supporters are welcome to this on matchday. On Sunday it will be open from 12pm – perfect timing for a pre-match drink.

FOOD & DRINK - Supporters can enjoy a wide range of food and drink options at the ground on Sunday. We will have a pre-match BBQ in our fan zone from 12pm along with a Pizza van. There will also be a kiosk open in the North West of the ground for breakfast sandwiches from 10am. A number of outdoor bars will be open providing the drink options for the match day.

Our bars will be using re-usable stack cups on the day.
