Thunder squad confirmed for Kingston Park clash

Head coach Chris Thorman has today named his 20-man squad to host Whitehaven RLFC in Round 18 of the Betfred Championship.

The fixture is set for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday, July 9 as Thunder look to make amends for their defeat last time out away at London Broncos.

The squad sees two changes from the week before as Nikau Williams and captain Alex Foster are both sidelined with injuries after picking up knocks against the Broncos.

Back in the mix, Newcastle University signing Mac Walsh could feature against Whitehaven and first team regular and dual reg signing Nick Staveley is once again retained by his parent club, Hull FC so isn’t involved this week.

Trio of loan signings Denive Balmforth, Connor Moore and Daniel Okoro all could feature against Whitehaven and full-back Jack Johnson continues to miss out due to injury.

There are special milestones for Thunder duo Brad Gallagher and Gideon Boafo who if involved will both earn their 50th career appearances.
