Thunder squad confirmed for Bradford trip

Newcastle Thunder head coach Chris Thorman has named his 21-man squad to travel to Bradford Bulls in Round 22 of the Betfred Championship.

The fixture is set for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday, August 20.

Fresh from a week’s break due to the Challenge Cup finals, Thunder see a number of changes from the side that lost to Halifax Panthers at Kingston Park two weeks ago.

Brad Gallagher misses out having been banned for an unacceptable language charge, whilst Ted Chapelhow and Jack Miller are sidelined through injury.

The squad sees a welcome return to university signing duo of Evan Lawther and Mac Walsh as well as the inclusion of newly signed Reserves player Mike Ogunwale, who joined the club in recent weeks having previously played in the Army set-up.

Paddy Burns is retained having made his debut for the club last time out and loanee duo Denive Balmforth and Connor Moore are also included.
