Harrison Heads to Thunder

Newcastle Thunder have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026 Betfred Championship season with the signing of Myles Harrison. 

The outside back arrives on Tyneside following his time with York RLFC, where he established himself as an exciting and versatile option across the backline. 

Harrison, 22 has already gained valuable experience in a Championship environment and is well regarded for his utility value in the back line. 

Head Coach Graham Steadman said "His ability to cover multiple positions out wide provides us with added flexibility, while his attacking instincts and work ethic align closely with the club’s ambitions moving into the 2026 campaign. Despite still being early in his career, he has shown maturity and resilience, qualities that will be key across a demanding season."

"Myles was with us for a couple of games last season, so he knows the environment and knows what we are aiming to achieve in the North East."
