Newcastle Thunder Complete Signing of Reynolds

Newcastle Thunder have boosted their squad ahead of the 2026 Betfred Championship campaign with the signing of Harvey Reynolds, a promising young forward with Championship experience. 

Reynolds arrives from York Knights, where he featured regularly across the 2024 season after joining the club from the Hull KR Academy.

During that year he made 12 first-team appearances, including scoring a try on his debut in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup victory over Thunder, and also had brief loan spells with Newcastle as part of his development.

At just 20 years old, Reynolds brings energy, strength and forward grunt to the Thunder pack. Having already tasted life in both the Championship and League 1 environments, he arrives in Newcastle with a foundation of competitive experience to build on ahead of 2026.

Reynolds’ signing is another step in Thunder’s recruitment drive as the club shapes a squad ready to compete from the first round of the Betfred Championship.
