Thunder confirm rearranged fixtures and 1895 Cup Round 1

Newcastle Thunder can confirm that two previously scheduled fixtures have been rearranged, with new dates now finalised. In addition, the club’s opening fixture in the 1895 Cup has been confirmed.

Thunder will now face Goole Vikings RLFC on Friday 22 May (7:30pm) at Blaydon. The fixture against Rochdale Hornets has also been rescheduled and will take place on Sunday 21 June (3:00pm), also at Blaydon.

Both rearranged fixtures will be played at home, providing supporters with further opportunities to back the team as the season progresses.

The club can also confirm details of its Round 1 tie in the 1895 Cup. Thunder will host Batley Bulldogs on Sunday 19 April (3:00pm) at Blaydon. The fixture marks the club’s entry into this season’s competition, with progression to the next round at stake.
