Newcastle’s Best Ever Summer arrives at Kingston Park

Kingston Park stadium will be a hive of activity ahead of the Betfred League 1 clash against Coventry Bears (18th Aug, KO 3pm)

As part of the Newcastle’s Best Summer Ever, the ground will host a fun and interactive multi-sports event ahead of the fixture against the Bears with all participants getting the opportunity to enjoy all the thrills and spills of a Newcastle Thunder home game as part of the day.

Starting at 12.30pm, activities on offer include tennis, cycling, zorbing, bubble football, rugby and traditional park games and forms part of an amazing million-pound programme available to all children and young people across the city during the summer holidays

Developed thanks to a grant from the Department of Education, the activity day is one of a multitude of programmes that has seen thousands of young people, aged 5 to 18, participate in a range of exciting sport and activity offers,

Newcastle Thunder general manager Jordan Robinson said: “We’re proud to be hosting the StreetGames team ahead of the Coventry game and welcoming a whole host of people from across Newcastle.

“As well as enjoying the multi-sport activities, they will also be able to watch Thunder take on Coventry and get a taste of all the excitement rugby league and the club offer on Summer afternoons during the year.”
